2022 Toyota Tundra Crosses 200k Miles in Just Two Years
If you’re in the market for a new full-size pickup truck and haven’t quite come around to the idea that a turbocharged V6 can pile on the mileage the same way an old-fashioned V6 or V8 can, consider this truck. It appeared on a dealer lot in October of 2024 sporting more than 200,000 miles on the odometer, meaning its previous owner racked up nearly 300 miles per day since this Tundra was put into service in July 2022—and those miles have been essentially trouble-free, with only one visit to the dealer (at 160,000 miles!) for a repair.
This 2022 Tundra is still young and relatively low-mileage, at least by the standards of some Toyota drivers. With more than one million-mile truck on the road (and even one dedicated Tundra owner who has done it twice over), Toyota is no stranger to owners who depend on their trucks to really go the distance. The 2014 Tundra linked above replaced a 2007 model, which itself clocked more than a million miles before it was replaced.
Toyota’s redesigned Tundra is bigger, quicker, and more capable than ever before. The available i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain makes a commendable 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, and the 2025 Tundra can be configured to tow as much as 12,000 pounds.
And for 2025, it gets even better. New options include available multifunctioning massaging front seats, a power tailgate with knee lift assist, and a new eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat for the SR5 model.
Perhaps saving the best for last, the Tundra can now be optioned with the new TRD Rally package, which borrows cues from Toyota’s flagship TRD models, including 18-inch TRD off-road wheels with unique center caps, all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, and skid plates. These upgrades work in concert with the available electronically controlled locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control to offer excellent off-road capability for a half-ton pickup.

And the Tundra isn’t the only Toyota truck that can log serious mileage. You may have heard of the 1.6-million-mile Tacoma, and as far as we’re aware, that truck is still on the road.
