​​Chevrolet, GMC Models Featured on Car and Driver’s Editor’s Choice Awards List​ 

If you’re an editor for a major automotive magazine and want to name your choices of vehicles you worked with, which ones would you choose above the rest? At Car and Driver, their editors compile an extensive list of their favorite vehicles. Their task is made more difficult because they test and evaluate over 450 cars, trucks, SUVs, and minivans. Their methodology goes deeper by checking every aspect of each vehicle. 

This year’s Editors’ Choice list includes eight Chevrolet models and two GMCs. The vehicles named on the list are: 

• Chevrolet Colorado 

• Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 

• Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 

• Chevrolet Corvette Z06 

• Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 

• Chevrolet Suburban 

• Chevrolet Tahoe 

• Chevrolet Trax 

• GMC Canyon 

• GMC Yukon 

These vehicles are among the 131 winners that made this year’s Editors’ Choice list. All of these models are repeat winners, except for the Corvette ZR1.  

To explain the significance of this annual list, Car and Driver’s editor-in-chief, Tony Quiroga, said that “The Editors’ Choice awards are designed to help overwhelmed car shoppers by giving them a list of the best cars on the market. Every vehicle that earns an Editors’ Choice award should be a candidate for consideration.” 

Breaking down this year’s list, all four 2026 Corvette models were listed based on their status as “America’s Sports Car.” Ranging from the iconic Stingray to the sensational ZR1 supercar, the Corvette always brings the excitement to the road with its famous V8 engine mounted just behind the cockpit. The E-Ray brings electrification and all-wheel drive traction to the game – a new chapter in Corvette performance.  

Our largest SUVs – the 2026 Chevy Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon – offer the largest interior space in their class. Families looking for more utility and comfort cannot go wrong with seating for up to eight and massive cargo space that expands to 144.5 cubic feet. You also have a choice of gasoline V8 or turbocharged in-line six-cylinder Duramax diesel power.  

Our mid-size pickup trucks – the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon – offer more standard power from their TurboMax engine with 430 pound-feet of torque. That translates into a pair of tough trucks capable of towing up to 7,700 pounds. They also offer exceptional off-road performance with the 2026 Colorado ZR2, GMC Canyon AT4, and AT4X.  

The 2026 Trax makes this list because it is one of the best values of any vehicle sold in South Dakota. This popular crossover adds efficient turbocharged performance with expansive utility. It makes both hops around town and long drives across the state easy with great on-board technology. All at an affordable price!
