The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali Gets The “Driven” Treatment

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is a truck that loves to pull its weight. It is one of the most capable electric vehicles of its kind, offering great towing performance and cargo management flexibility in an innovative package. The video automotive review channel, Driven by Tom Voelk, recently had the chance to work with the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali. He had plenty of praise to heap upon our most luxurious electric pickup truck.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali offers a very powerful driveline and superb capabilities. Voelk’s tester came with the 760-horsepower dual-motor Max Range driveline with 785 pound-feet of torque. Energy comes from a 205-kilowatt-hour battery pack mounted below the body along the underfloor. This enables the EV pickup truck to earn an EPA estimated 460 miles of range. It also comes with Vehicle-to-Home capability, with the extra power to provide emergency electricity when you experience a blackout.

You can tow up to 10,500 pounds, especially with Super Cruise. It is all accessible through the Max Power Mode, located on the large 16.8-inch diagonal center infotainment touchscreen. This will “spool up” the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali from 0-60 MPH in just over four seconds.
The tester also came with 4-Wheel Steer with Crab Walk. Of the latter feature, Voelk said that “the 12-year-old in me is happy it exists.” It is useful, however, especially when negotiating a tight space in an alleyway or on a trail as the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali moves diagonally through the maneuver. It does so, in a “completely controlled way,” according to Voelk.

It also offers features that befit the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali’s status as the top of its class. That includes the MultiPro Midgate, MultiPro Tailgate, and the E-Trunk up front. As Voelk states, “the utility is unmatched.” It also wears 24-inch alloy wheels and offers Google Built-in for entertainment and navigation.
Regarding the driving experience, Voelk states that the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali does so “quite nicely.” He adds, “it tracks straight and true with little body roll in corners without any drivetrain vibration. It’s more relaxing to drive over long distances.” On top of that, he adds that it is a “comfortable, refined machine.”
For 2026, the GMC Sierra EV Denali trim level will be joined by the Elevation and AT4. There will be a wider offering of battery capacities and features, while maintaining that high level of capability you expect from this electric pickup truck.

Voelk’s take on the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is “this is the best electric pickup money can buy.” It also offers an “elevated pickup experience.”
