Infotainment is today’s word for everything that resides in the center touchscreen of your new Chevrolet. It serves as a hub for entertainment, information, key vehicle functions, and device connectivity.

Chevrolet offers one of the best infotainment systems in the automotive industry today. The team at the Motor1.com website reviewed this system in a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban. What they found was an “excellent” system that works through every function they utilized.

All Chevrolet infotainment systems are now driven by the Google Built-in operating system. The software and connectivity firm provided a backbone that uses their apps for in-vehicle communication, interactivity, and engagement.

To communicate with your vehicle, Google Assistant takes commands through natural voice recognition. You can say commands related to vehicle operation, directions using Google Maps, music playback through the AM/FM radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, or Google Play Music. You might even ask Audible to read you a book while driving. You can add other compatible apps through the Google Play Store. The key to a great experience with the Chevrolet infotainment system is logging into your Google account. That way, you will be able to access your preferences and saved destinations.

What Motor1.com also discovered while driving the 2025 Suburban is how well Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect with this infotainment system. On a number of Chevrolet models, you have wireless smartphone mirroring and connectivity available, if you wish to use your phone’s system.

The 2025 Suburban’s infotainment touchscreen measures out at 17.7 inches diagonally. Screen size does vary between Chevrolet models, measuring as small as 11 inches. However, Motor1.com stated that both the infotainment touchscreen and the digital driver’s display screen were big and beautiful, the graphics are crisp, and there are a ton of features.”

Motor1.com continued to praise Chevrolet’s infotainment touchscreen’s “native graphics.” They said they were “modern and crisp, with a blue-tinged background that makes it all feel a bit more futuristic. Options on the home screen are arranged neatly and require only one or two taps to get you where you need to go, which means you can quickly parse things while on the move. No need to go digging.

Most of the functions are available through the OnStar Connect monthly subscription plan. The most basic plan gains access to various apps that are a part of the Google Built-in system. You can upgrade to Connect Plus, which adds access to games for your passengers and the Wi-Fi Hotspot. Or, you can opt for the OnStar One Super Cruise plan, which adds roadside assistance and the functionality of our hands-free driver assistance feature.
