​​Toyota Streamlines 2025 RAV4 Lineup​

The 2025 Toyota RAV4 is arriving in showrooms with some minor updates for the new model year. The most noteworthy update is the Toyota re-branding of the PHEV RAV4 Prime. It’s now simply the 2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. There are some other minor changes to report, along with updates to pricing for the entire lineup.  

Toyota has also announced pricing for virtually every 2025 model in the pipeline, so we’ll cover the updated MSRPs, too. Let’s dive right in.  

2025 Toyota RAV4 Updates 

There are only minor updates to the standard 2025 RAV4, and they’re most notable for those who prefer the more off-road-friendly Toyota trims. The standard Adventure and TRD Off-Road models have been dropped from the ICE-powered RAV4 for 2025, but all of the premium on-road models remain available.  

The 2025 Toyota RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque.  

Pricing for the standard 2025 RAV4 LE starts at $28,850; the rest of the lineup is below.

• 2025 RAV4 XLE Premium FWD $33,250

 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Updates 

If you’re concerned by the departure of the Adventure and TRD Off-Road models, the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid offers some consolation: the outdoorsy Woodland Edition remains in the lineup for the new model year.  

The RAV4 Hybrid offers fuel efficiency of 41 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 40 mpg combined with the exception of the Woodland Edition, whose outdoorsy bits drop those figures to 38 mpg city, 35 highway, and 37 combined — still plenty respectable.

2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid Updates 

It’s official: the RAV4 Prime is dead—only not really. For 2025, it’s being re-branded as the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. Nothing is changing apart from the badges and the marketing materials, so you’ll still get the same 302 horsepower and 42 miles of all-electric range. 

There are only two variants of the 2025 RAV4 PHEV, and they’re priced about the same as the outgoing 2024 RAV4 Prime:  

• 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid SE $43,865 
• 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid XSE $47,735
